What's your why to doing what you are doing?
The WHY question is important. Lately, it seems like my clients are telling me that they feel lazy, not motivated especially when it comes to making calls to prospects. And if you are in sales, you know this feeling all too well. So I will ask this question - what's your why? If you don't jump out of bed feeling excited and motivated to do the things you do - and I mean largely your job or God forbid, your business. Then why do you even do it? Dragging your feet in your job isn't a great place to be. And if you are in sales, you can't possibly close sales or generate sales if you are dragging your feet or simply feeling low and demotivated. I guess if you are in sales - especially the energy required for sales is an upbeat energy, not the lazy, I wish I don't have to go and see that client energy. Because guess what, if you don't feel like seeing the client. Then she/he will feel your energy and there will be no sale.... The other interesting thing that I noticed is that insurance agents, at least those whom I have been speaking to anyway - tell me that they do not like what they are doing. It's not their passion and they do it for the money and it's a job. I find this super interesting ... I guess if you want to choose a vocation, and one such as being an insurance agent, it's practically your own business and you don't actually like it?..... I do know lot's of people who do things/business because of the money. And money in itself as a motivation, contrary to popular believe, isn't going to get you the results you desire. Coz money in itself is an object. Just MONEY. PERIOD. But what is it that you associate money with? That's what will drive you to achieve your results you crave. That's what I have to say for now... If you like what you are reading, and if you would like to work with me on a 1-1 basis. I offer personal coaching where I can help you obtain and achieve the desires that you crave for such as sales or a dream job. The work we do is deep work - coz you are not just a sales machine or an employee, you are a whole person. Which is why every other aspect of you affects the way you do something in one area. It cannot be compartmentalize. Although, we seem to think that we can.... This subject is a topic for another discussion.
